TEAM ENTRY FEE PAYMENT: Fees are paid via Cash App ($NicPlunkett), Venmo (@Nic-Plunkett), or Square Invoice. A DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE. All balances must be paid before first game or your team may not be able to participate. CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. FORMAT: Games will include two- 14 minute halves, with stop clock & 2-minute half-time via pool and/or bracket format. For pool play formats, best record, point spread (+/- 15), and/or head-to-head rules will determine place. Brackets will either be either single or double elimination. Awards will be awarded to division finalists.. A Most Valuable Player will be awarded per division.
NEW: SCORE KEEPERS: A pass will be provided for your Table Person. Each team is responsible for providing a person for the table per game. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS PASS BOTH (2) COACHING PASSES MUST BE TAKEN AND ACTUAL COACHES INVOLVED IN THE OPERATION OF THE TEAM. THE TABLE PASS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF THIS IS NOT THE CASE. If only one coach please use your second coaching pass for your Table Person.
RULES: High School Federation Rules, to include rebounding after free throw hits the rim. Single and Double bonus will be rewarded on 7th and 10th team foul. t
OVERTIME: If Required, a three (3) minute overtime period will be played via running clock for initial two minutes and stop clock for final minute. If tied after overtime period, a sudden death period will be applied with the first tam to score winning the game. Teams will be rewarded one time-out for initial overtime period.
HOME/VISITOR: First team listed is the "Home Team" and provides game ball if necessary. Second team listed is the "Visitor Team". Hone and visitor teams will provide 1 volunteer for either official official scorebook keeper or game clock operator, respectively, if not managed by Excel Staff. SCOREKEEPER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING BOOK STAT READY BY INCLUDING FIRST AND LAST NAME OF PLAYERS OF BOTH TEAMS, TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL SCORING FOR BOTH TEAMS, AND TEAM INFORMATION. PLEASE TURN THESE SCORESHEETS INTO THE FRONT GATE TO THE EXCEL EMPLOYEE.
20 POINT RULE: If a team falls behind by 20 points any time during the game clock will become a running clock ONLY in the second half, excluding time-outs, for the remainder of the game until the margin gets back to 12 points and then the clock becomes a stop clock.
10 SECOND RULE: The 10-second back court rule is in effect.
5 SECOND RULE: The 5-second closely guarded rule is in effect
COACHES DISCRETION : There are no limitations to pressing full court and substitution patterns. These decisions will be at the discretion of team coaches.
TIME-OUTS: Two 1-minute time-outs per half. Time-outs cannot be carried over. One 1 -minute time-out will be rewarded for initial timeout period only.
PROTESTS: Teams must be able to provide the following for each of their players: (1) A Copy of a document showing date of birth (2) A Copy of a document showing current grade of the events school year (3) A Roster with all players planning to participate in the event. Players not on the roster at check-in WILL NOT be able to participate in any games during the event. FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE ABOVE DOCUMENTATION ABOVE TO EXCEL STAFF AT CHECK IN WILL RESULT IN TEAMS AND PLAYERS TO FORFEIT ALL GAMES EFFECTED. Updated June 1st, 2018
VIDEO CONSENT: Registration of Team(s) in an Excel Event is consent to use all footage. Identity of Individual players is hidden unless authorized by such teams coach or parent. All footage is property of the Excel Tournaments Series Group.
